We had a very nice and RELAXING weekend....as you can see below!! Daddy has been working a lot lately and Preston and I do miss him!! We tried to spend as much of the time we had with him this weekend cuddled up on the couch!! Here Daddy and Preston are watching Nascar--Preston does have his Earnhart Jr shirt on much to Daddy's dismay!! Obviously the race wasn't too interesting for Preston, but he enjoyed the cuddle time!

As you probably already know, Preston has been taking steps for a long time now....Right before he turned 7 months, he started practicing and he is getting better and better everyday! On Mother's Day, he actually started letting go of the endtable, couch etc...and trying to master this new skill on his own! I wish I knew how to get a video up and going because it is so priceless seeing him work on conquering this new feat...He is SO SOO PROUD of himself...and we are as well!!

It has been sunny and beautiful here lately and Mommy and Preston have been enjoying the wonderful weather....We are taking lots of walks, playing at the park, and just hanging out with some friends....Here we are waiting on Mommy's good friend, Lauren and Patrick, to arrive....sitting on the park bench like a big boy!

Last night, Preston was invited over to his friend, Mallory's, for her first birthday!!!! It was a huge party and Preston loved playing on one of her new toys....a little jungle gym! Too bad Preston was a little cranky and Mommy had a headache...we had to leave the party a little sooner than we would have liked too!

Already learning "bad habits" trying to talk Mallory into climbing the slide backwards...I wonder where he gets this from...

It certainly was the "BEST" Mother's Day ever...It also happened to be the first, so I hope that this streak continues!! Preston, Daddy, and Mommy hung out most of the day and played and ate lots of yummy food....We were a little worried though at first we may never eat as we tried to stop at SEVERAL restaurants before we could find an opening...Guess EVERYONE thinks going out to eat on Mother's Day is a grand idea...we will know better for next time!

This is one of Preston's newest toys...YES, our living room is becoming the playground of all playgrounds.....we need to stop....He does have all the coolest things though for his buddies to come over and play!

Preston has been aweful jealous of his buddy, Jackson, and his wagon...Preston is a little too small to ride in the big boy wagon, so Mommy improvised with a toy that we thought was too big for him to play with yet and made it into a riding wagon....He fit right in this tiny wagon and had a blast being tugged around...He really thought he was all that acting like a big boy!!

We are feeling better this week, just in time for a special visit from Gramma Lynn this week!! Yeah!! It was so much fun having alone time with Gramma and doing what her and mommy love best--shopping!! Preston tolerated it fairly well ~ as he was spoiled as usual! We were sad to see Gramma leave today but can't wait until the next visit! Here are a few of Mommy's favorite pic's of the week!!
