By Request

By Request

-------

It seems that Mommy most definetely has "baby brain"...for those of you who don't know what this is....it pertains to the fact that you are utterly clueless while carrying a child within you...all the blood that previously traveled to your own brain is now diverted to the baby...thus making you (for a lack of a better word...) dumb! It has come to my attention that Preston has had several visitors in the last month and therefore they should have made the BLOG...via picture...not just through words....so my mistake...and by request ....here they are......
Great Uncle Joe and Aunt Mag at Lake Panarama!
Great Uncle Larry and Preston enjoying Breakfast at the breakfast nook...with Nana in the background...
Papa and Preston (eating...again!)
Nana and Preston
-----
For some reason Aunt Kathy avoided all of my paparrazi attempts to get a shot...I think I was just a little lazy and unable to hold the camera up too much this weekend or something...anyways....We are completely sorry for the misunderstanding and lack of pictures posted from the previous entry ...please accept our apology....

Monthly Update!
-----------

Okay, okay, once again.....this is totally not acceptable blogging behaviour but I have once again slacked on my ability to post a new blog...It has nothing to do with our lives being boring as Preston has attained or improved many new skills over the past month such as speaking in sentences, going down the stairs without holding the handrail, or sleeping in a big boy bed, eating a "real" bowl of cereal complete with milk, throwing temper tantrums., our infatuation with watching the movie "NEMO"...but rather due to the fact that Mommy is EXTREMELY exhausted being pregnant and chasing a 22 month old toddler with an attitude around....My "usual" blogging time is done when Preston is napping or down for the night...unfortunately now...when Preston goes down....Sprout and I also go down....I honestly did not know it was possible to be this tired all the time!
----
We have been busy this past month as well which could have also contributed to our lack of blogging...We traveled to Iowa to visit family at Lake Panarama--Mommy and Daddy enjoyed playing a round a golf (yes we did have hobby's prior to kids) and Preston loved the attention and spent hours throwing golf balls in the sand traps...We were hoping to see our buddy Jace at the zoo on this trip, but they were fighting the aweful rain and fearing the flooding waters...thankful all is well with them now and Jace's Mommy's shoes are safe!
-----
We also had visitors for a golf excursion week--Preston's Nana and Papa and Great Aunt Kathy and Uncle Larry...Preston is REALLY attached to Nana and Papa and had one of the largest tantrums Mommy has seen to date when they would leave Preston behind...The saddest part is that I couldn't stop thinking how cute and sweet it was for him to be so upset!
-----
Mommy has also had another Sonogram this month and the Choroid Plexis Cyst is gone!!! Yeah!! Little Sprout is looking great and measuring a whopping 2lbs 2oz already!! His heartbeat has been holding steady around the 140's. He is however Breach at this point..but still has time to turn for us...we will just have to wait and see...Our monthy Dr's visit went fine as well... Mommy got the RH shot, did her glucose blood draw...and got to listen to the heartbeat again...The Dr's only concern is that Jason and I are not able to name this child......I told her it was very much a concern of mine too....So with that...we are seriously open to any suggestions...15 baby name books into this pregnancy and no possible names-- I have about had it...
-----
Okay-Here are a few pic's over the past month.....
Preston assisting in the building of his big boy bed.....
Checking out his cousin's baseball game---an unrealized love for the P man...
Attending his first Birthday Party outside of someone's home...
(Airzone...another love for Preston jumping and climbing)
The one and only time Mommy has given Preston the milk and the cereal together for breakfast....he actually did suprising well and am unsure why I am still being lazy and not providing him this luxury more often...
------
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th of July....Preston will be riding once again in his neighborhood Parade and celebrating with friends of the neighborhood...Hopefully it wont take as long to post afterwards!!!

Sunscreen, lots of Barbeque, lots of friends....yep....Summer has begun in our household anyways....and it is starting off pretty good! We have been to the Park numerous times already this summer...and Preston is a big fan of Swings....and Slides...go figure...same thing Dad says he always loved!
Here is P and all of his friends swinging.....
and going on the merry go round for the first time!
Our first outing of the year to the Pool~stylin in Elmo of course!
Preston wasn't too sure of the water at first but after a little bit of time he tolerated standing at the side...not really much else!
Daddy and Preston
Our Annual Block Party....The Firetruck came again!
Preston, Mommy and Sprout...(Daddy had to work )
Practicing to fight the fire with his buddy Jack-Jack!

Chillin in someone else's chair...fightin the fake fire was a lot of work!

Checkin out his buddy, Ethan's ride...good thing Daddy wasn't around or else this would not have been tolerated...

Here's to hopin the rest of the summer is going to be just as fun!! We're off to see Papa and his family and our buddy Jace....will post more soon!

Going to the Farm!

Going to the Farm!

-----

We took our first outing of the summer to a Farmstead a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!! Let me say it again---AMAZING!

$0 admission

Sack Lunch from home

$Few Bucks for Activities

$Lots of Bucks in Gas (LONG drive)

Priceless= a Memorable First Outing for the Summer

Last year we took Preston to his first Zoo outing and we thought he really enjoyed the animals....this year...He LOVED the animals!!!
I have to admit both Daddy and I were shocked he went into the goats cage willingly and even threw them a piece of feed or two! Preston is usually weary of uncertain situations, especially with animals that get too close... He really wasn't afraid though at all of the goats!
He was so inquisitive...well as much as a toddler can be at his age....It was just so fun to watch him examine and interact with each of the animals...calling them by name or talking to them in their native tongue...(quack, moo, chirp..etc)
This farm was very VERY cool, I have to admit...they even had an old school house...fully equiped with a children's desk that of course Preston had to try out...and in case you can't figure this one out...he even tried on the Dunce Cap and chair in the corner...
They also had Indian tents....or a big playhouse as I am sure Preston thought it was!
And no farm is complete with lots of BIG tractors....
Mommy, Preston and Sprout had to "pose" of course!
This is Preston attempting to stir the log pot...He is quite into doing what the "older boys" do all the time and he saw some "older boys" completing this task...so of course he had to join in!
Probably my favorite activity of the day was feeding the baby goats their bottles...Once again, P-Man jumped right in and had no fears about feeding these guys...Mommy on the other hand was excited but a little nervous...especially when they swarm you for food or you get the attention of an aggressive baby...they want their MILK!
Preston also had to check out the tractor course...Unfortunately his little legs couldn't touch the ground or the petals (not that he knows how to petal yet) so Daddy got a little work out pushing him on the track!
All in all it was as I said in the beginning an AMAZING day...There was so much to do and we spent a good 5 hours exploring this place--from taking the walk on the trails, to visiting the Dairy Barn, Playing on the awesome Playground, watching kids fish, eating a picnic lunch, exploring all the animals to be found...we can't wait to go back again soon...It was such Great day, but a tiresome one at that!
We barely pulled out of the parking lot....and made it two blocks before Master P was out... Hopefully this is only the start to an Awesome summer!

20 Weeks Pregnant!

20 Weeks Pregnant!

-------

In case you didn't know...Preston is going to be a big Brother in October!!
Mommy is Preggers again!! And despite these two very VERY poor attempts at taking the baby bump photo....IT REALLY IS THERE...and very prominently...promise!
We even tried facing the other way...
We have no idea--Mommy and Daddy both are baffled that we can see the bump...and the largeness of Mommy's new body...but for some reason the camera is not showing it ...I should really REALLY like this (usually a camera adds 20lbs right) but am confused more than anything...It is there...and all over Mommy's body just like with Mr P....We are definetely packing on the pounds...and lovin' it!
A rare pose of Mommy, Preston and "Sprout" as we are calling the new baby! (Mommy has a tendency to avoid the camera when Pregnant...I will try not to but think this is really only the second or third pic in 20 weeks..)
Preston giving "sprout" a kiss....We are not sure what Preston really understands, but he insists on rubbing my belly everyday and kissing it...it is adorable...as he rubs it..he says..."hi baby"...
---------
I am going to take after many of my other pregnant bloggers and go ahead and answer common questions and seal the answers forever in the "blogger" world..
-
1) YES, we were really trying ...or as Daddy prefers to say we have not been preventing and hoping for things to just happen for a very long time....I have no idea why it has taken so long to announce on our blog...except for the fact that I have been really tired and resting during the time I am usually posting on here!
-
2) Preston will be 25 months old...the baby is due October 5th!
-
3)YES, we want to know the gender....and already do!! It's a BOY! The sonogram showed with 99% clarity....it's all boy!
-
4)This baby is commonly referred to as "sprout" as Daddy does not like sharing the name until the birth...although unlike Preston--we have NO IDEAS as to this point of what the name will be....So if you have suggestions...I am open...:)
-
5)No this will probably not be our last child...but you never know...we are going to see how it goes with adding "sprout" to the family and take it from there....
-
6) I have been feeling GREAT....and love staying at home and being Pregnant...IT is such a different world...I am able to take it all in so much more this time around not having to worry about work....and being able to nap when I want in the afternoon...I'm loving it!!
-
7) I felt the baby move at 15 weeks and "sprout" has been kicking every since...he is a mover and a shaker...very different from Preston......his heartbeat has been from 175 to 145 at our last visit...
-
8) Preston REALLY does like to "kiss" and "rub" and "talk" to the baby quite often...it is kind of funny because I think he does it more often than Daddy even does...He seems really bonded with "sprout" already! I think he is going to make an excellent big brother too! He is very kind, gentle and sweet on all the babies we meet or in our groups...It is kind of weird bc ever since I became Pregnant...it is as though Preston seeks out babies to love on...it is very cute!
-------
I think I have answered most of them...if not I will post more later!!

Random Thoughts!

Random Thoughts.....

Okay, Okay....I have been getting worse and worse about actually putting pictures and updates on the blog....I promise there is good reason...but you're right there is really no excuse! Here is a little bit of what Preston and the family have been up to lately!!
Posing for a "photo op" with friend Mallory.....the two little ones with Mallory's Mommy, Emily took me out for lunch for the big 30th birthday....Yes, that is one of the many reasons I have been absent from blogging....I am old...and depressed....:) Oh, I am just kidding...30 isn't that bad!
Storytime with Megan at one of our weekly playgroups....look at all of our great listeners....okay--this really only lasted maybe a minute or two for all of them to stay content...but hopefully they will all get better!
We are having "color" playdates at our other playgroup and this was BROWN day...what an awesome idea!!! Preston is a little young to know all of his colors, but I really think this exposure by the older kids is helping!
Of course, one of Preston's favorite activities is still talking on the phone...I think he talks to his "papa" and "nana" more than Mommy does these days....Oh, and check out the cute PJ's--aren't they the truth "If I'm not happy, Nobodys happy"
This is a total RANDOM pic...just to illustrate Mr. Preston's cuteness and his continued fondness of hats....
Speaking of fondness, we ALL know Preston loves to eat...and Ice Cream is on top of the list...He received this cool Ice cream holder from Nana and Papa and thoroughly enjoys now feeding himself his own cone...It really is a "nifty" invention and keeps the mess somewhat contained!
We also celebrated Preston's cousin's first communion a few weeks back...Aren't Preston and his cousin's Madison and Ainsley adorable all dolled up!!
Enjoying the "feast" afterwards...notice Preston is sitting on a "big boy" chair and feeding himself...he enjoys doing this quite often as opposed to the highchair...where oh where has my baby gone!!
Chillin' with daddy's side of the family at the gift opening...we are also working very much with Mr. P on sitting patiently and quietly...he is doing okay for a toddler but not as well as Daddy would like...oh well!

Big Red Trucks!!!

Big Red Trucks!!
--------

Preston and one of his Playgroups decided it was high time that these kiddo's got to visit a "REAL" firestation....or pretty much in their minds...the place with the BIG RED TRUCKS! The fireman were amazing and let the kids climb all over the equipment....and ask them many interesting and intriguing question...okay we'll perhaps not so much the second part...but they all loved it....
well almost all of them....it took Mallory a bit to warm up...she was though in fact the only girl there...so she was quite tough hanging with the boys!
"Look at me....future fireman in training!"
Okay, perhaps he just liked driving with a BIG wheel....better not suit him up yet...being in the truck was a little overwhelming...
Okay--the enormouse TRUCKS themselves were a little overwhelming....it's a lot to take in for a little man !
He did love the trip---he talks about the BIG RED TRUCKS all the time....and the hat....well looks like we might need to go back and get another one...his is already worn out!
